MEGA-STROY BUILDS A PLANT FOR JOHN DEERE

On April 27, 2010, the ceremonial opening of a new manufacturing complex and a spare distribution center of the world’s largest manufacturer of agricultural and construction equipment John Deer took place.

The project is located at YUZHNYE VRATA at the intersection of Moskva-Don (M4) highway and the Small Concrete Circle (A-107). Under the Giffels’ order MEGA-STROY performed as the General contractor for construction of this complex totaling 550 000 sq.m.

The buildings include:

• Manufacturing and warehouse premises;
• Gatehouses;
• Parking areas;
• Boiler house, heating capacity 25 Mw.

The new John Deere manufacturing and logistics complex includes the Europe and Asia distribution center of spares and the manufacturing areas where equipment for two main divisions of the company, including tractors and combiners for the agricultural sector and equipment for construction and forestry, is manufactured.

At the opening ceremony John Deere’s management paid special attention to the quality of works delivered by MEGA-STROY. Some high officials of the Administration of Domodedovo town attended the opening ceremony.

In his address to the attendees of the ceremony, Leonid Pavlovich Kovalevsky, head of the Administration of Domodedovo, congratulated all participants of this project with completion of construction and commissioning.
