Outlet Village Belaya Dacha was built by Mega-Stroy in 2012 and became the first open outlet center in Russia located in Kotelniki town, Moscow region. It was awarded with BREEAM In-Use and has become the first retail complex which received the certificate of the rating Excellent. During construction special attention was paid to installation of utilities which should reliably provide the tenants with heat, water and power. Thus it allowed to adapt the complex to the modern requirements and changes of the environmental standards. Despite that obtainment of BREEAM ecological certificates is good practice in many countries world-wide, on the Russian market this process has only been initiated. Upon completion of construction by Mega-Story’s specialists, buildings of FM Logistic, Tablogix, Hartmann, General Motors, Leroy Merlin, Kimberly-Clark, Next, Svyaznoy, Decathlon, 36.6, John Deere and Auсhan were also certified under BREEAM standard. Five of these buildings received the highest rating in Russia — Very Good. The staff of the ecological complex strictly follows the ecological purchase policy. The purpose is to implement obligations reducing impact of construction materials and equipment on health of staff and future users of buildings as well as to introduce principles of resource efficiency in the company’s activity at all levels listed in the company’s environmental policy. When purchasing it is required to act under the principles of environmental and economic feasibility. The ecological purchase policy spreads over all materials and equipment related to conduct of works at the construction facilities, consumables used during business activities as well as materials and equipment purchased for finishing works of Client’s premises. This policy is aimed at: Reduction of use of materials harmful for health Reduction of wastes disposed to waste dumps (via use of durable materials and recycled materials) Reduction of CO2 emissions during delivery of materials through optimization of logistics. All these measures provide with energy efficiency, comfort, economic efficiency and environmental friendliness of built projects.
